In order to facilitate gene analysis and optimization, we have developed unique gene design software name as Visual Gene Developer. The software provides a user friendly interface and includes many useful functions such as codon/mRNA optimization, mRNA secondary structure prediction (originally developed by Dr. Hofacker at University of Vienna), AT/GC content calculation, sequence comparison, repeated sequence check, restriction enzyme site search, and ORF check. Furthermore, the software supports automated optimization, network computing significantly reducing processing time, and artificial neural networks. One of powerful features of Visual Gene Developer is it supports language programming (VBScript and JScript) for new module development.
